Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced archaeological surveyor/geomatician to take on the key role of Senior Geospatial Specialist based at our Northampton office. The Senior Geospatial Specialist will be integral to supporting MOLA’s field teams with on-site spatial data capture and subsequent processing and visualisation.  The role will also initiate and carry out other specialised metric surveys using a variety of techniques.

Job Requirements:

On a day-to-day basis you will be processing and quality checking spatial data captured by field teams for both internal and external use, and providing technical support and training to teams as necessary. You will also promote the use of survey techniques and help drive innovation in geospatial data capture and visualisation. You will carry out more specialised forms of metric survey, such as, photogrammetry, laser scanning, UAV, and topographic surveys and the associated data processing and reporting. An existing UAV qualification would be an advantage, but training can be provided if necessary.
