Type/Hours: Full Time, 37 hpw, 1x Temporary until March 2016 (please note there is no guarantee but this temporary post may become available on a permanent basis) & 1x Temporary for 6 months

Salary: Scale 5 £21,780 - £23,790 per annum progressing to SO1 £27,246 - £29,016 per annum

Location: Police Headquarters, Portishead

In order to provide an accurate insight into criminal activity we need to conduct analysis and informed decision making.

You will disseminate the results of analysis through written and verbal reports and contribute to the tactical and strategic decision making through knowledge and application of the Intelligence Process, Intelligence Products and Analytical Products.

You must have established analytical experience, experience of report writing and be computer literate, including knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.  Experience of working in a law enforcement and court environment would be desirable.  You will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and have excellent interpersonal skills

You will ideally have experience of using visual analysis software such as i2 Workstation and GIS and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current relevant legislation such as the Data Protection Act.

You will ideally hold a full current driving licence or be able to travel around the force area using alternative transport.

Assessments will be held week commencing 17th August 2015 – successful applicants will be invited back to attend interview week commencing 24th August 2015.
