The Council are continuing to develop and evolve, creating many opportunities for the development and enhancement of our systems and processes. Our e-Business team helps improve the Council’s performance and increase productivity and efficiency.

We are currently looking for a GIS Data Officer to join our Master Data team. You will design, develop and implement our central spatial data warehouse to expand, maintain and support the Council’s web-based mapping applications and other GIS users across the borough. You will also take a lead role in the design, development and maintenance of the council's web mapping applications for both internal and external users. You will be the first point of contact for any mapping requests from Council staff, external partners and contractors by producing maps for them and carrying out data processing and analysis when required.

Your knowledge and proven experience of developing GIS applications using HTML/Javascript (OpenLayers, Google Maps), C#, PHP, Geoserver along with a degree in Computer Science, GIS or related discipline is what we are looking for. You will have the ability to manage data in Oracle Spatial and postgresql/postGIS database systems. Your exceptional customer service skills along with your ability to build strong relationships will help you provide an excellent service to our stakeholders across the organisation.
