The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in the following:
• Possess at least one year’s experience in a commercial consultancy or GIS support environment;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Organisational skills – ability to prioritise workload and work to tight and changing deadlines;
• Ability to work effectively both unsupervised and as part of a team
• Possess full UK driving licence;
• Relevant first degree in an appropriate discipline;
• MSc in GIS or GIS-related discipline;
• Proven track record with ESRI ArcGIS software, particularly map production;
• Experience with Autodesk range of products (AutoCAD, Trueview, Civil 3D);
• Experience with graphics and image processing software such as Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat, MS Publisher etc.
Optional
• Other relevant postgraduate degree;
• Technical experience with equipment including GPS/GNSS receivers, data loggers topographic survey instruments (total station EDM, laser scanners, imaging stations, UAVs);
• Experience with other software packages such as ERDAS Imagine, Trimble eCognition, Trimble Business Centre;
• Experience with Python programming language.
Applicants with academic and/or commercial consultancy experience in hydrology, hydrological modelling and flood modelling (CH2M Flood Modeller) are particularly welcome, as would those with an understanding of some aspects of ecology.
