David Lock Associates is an independent town planning,
urban design and
master planning consultancy owned by a trust on behalf of its employees. We are based in Milton Keynes, but with projects across the UK. We also undertake projects abroad, with sister companies based in Melbourne, Sydney and Bergen.
We are seeking a self-motivated and creative GIS specialist to fully integrate the ArcGIS Platform (primarily ArcGIS Pro) into our varied projects. You will be part of a talented multi-disciplinary team, working with planning, urban design, architecture, landscape, CAD and graphics professionals for a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including many of the leading players in the development industry.
We
advise landowners and developers in designing and securing planning permission for new homes, jobs and all the physical, social and environmental infrastructure needed. We advise business and civic leaders on city visioning; we work with local authorities and stakeholders on
regeneration master plans and policy making; and we help developers and investors shape and deliver proposals.
Our successes include some of the UK’s largest new settlements and urban extensions. We pride ourselves on the high quality of our work and staying at the forefront of best practice.
Skilled practitioners and advocates, our team includes people with backgrounds in planning, architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, surveying, transport planning, graphic design,
GIS and CAD. Together we deliver creativity and practicality in equal measure.
GIS has been an important and integrated part of our business for a long time, but now we see new and exciting opportunities to push the boundaries of its application. We need someone to steer this ambition. We are looking for someone with a relevant background within the built environment industry (likely from but not limited to planning, civils, transport or Local Authority); and someone with the drive to innovate.
What do we offer?Great working environment where you are actively encouraged to develop your career. In addition, we offer some excellent benefits: a competitive salary, company pension scheme, healthcare, life insurance; generous leave allowance; paid professional subscriptions; commitment to CPD; a cycle to work scheme; monthly communal office lunch; and childcare vouchers.
